Who Is Pete Koza
When Pete was younger, he always felt his best when he was making art. Now, in his 40's and is a total family man. Pete has been able to see his childhood dreams turn into reality.
It all began a few years ago when a metal fabrication company employed Pete.
One day, as he was working, he dropped a grinder on a sheet metal sheet and shot across the sheet, leaving an interesting but cool looking mark on the sheet.
Looking at the result and realizing the potential, Pete started playing around with small pieces of aluminum and different metal techniques in his garage.
As he got better, he started to see his metal art business beginning to take shape.
Being from South Florida, a lot of Pete's metal art resembles beach life, and tropical Florida themes.
Pete has lived in the Port St. Lucie area since he was 13 years old.
His family, and children Jordan, Madison, and Tyler have always supported and pushed him in his artwork and grew his business.
Pete says he gets the most fulfillment from being able to support his family from his childhood dreams that have turned into a beautiful reality.
Pete works on metal art pieces of all shapes and sizes.
His work mostly focuses on palm trees and ocean scenes, branching into oceanic creatures, both real and imaginative.
While his smaller pieces are popular among Florida vacationers, his business's custom metal art side is also flourishing.
Pete loves doing custom metal art work for homes and restaurants such as kitchen backsplash designs, countertops, large sheets of metal for the fronts and sides of kitchen islands or bars, and triptychs for home entrance ways or large rooms.
Aside from the Metal Art that Pete sells online, he also sets up his artwork at local art shows regularly. His favorite events to frequent are Thursday night Jammin' Jensen on Jensen Beach Blvd. the monthly Main Street Friday Fests in Fort Pierce and Vero Beach, and the Fort Pierce Jazz and Farmer's Market in downtown Fort Pierce on Saturday mornings.
